Perler Bead Look-A-Like Family

It was about a year ago that we were asked to make some look-a-likes for someone. Eleven, to be exact. An entire family. We were ecstatic. It was a really fun, exciting project. We had to keep it a secret until Christmas, as they were a Christmas gift for the person's family. We've posted a few since then on our EV Bead Sprites Facebook page, but here's the collection, complete with some of the outtakes.

Customizing a Custom Order: Hockey Hat Guys

I've spoken before about HkyHatGuy, who was our first ever custom look-alike order:

A few weeks ago, we branched out and made some special Hkyhatguys:

There's 'Away Jersey Hockey Hat Guy', 'Breast Cancer Awareness Hockey Hat Guy', and 'Christmas Hockey Hat Guy'. So if you're looking to get a custom look-alike done of you or someone you know, just remember the the possibilities are endless. 

My Favorite Custom Order so Far: HKYhatguy

A few weeks ago we were asked to make the bead sprite pictured above. On it's own, it's just a guy in a hat, but really it's an actual person, and this bead sprite was made simply by looking at a picture of this certain guy. 

This guy is who they call Hockey Hat Guy, and can be found on Twitter as HKYhatguy. He is a super fan of our local hockey team, the Islanders. 

See the resemblance? It was a lot of fun to make. 

Since then, HKYhatguy has posted about us on his hockey report. Take a look at the YouTube video. The part on us starts around the 20 minute mark.
